Royal Enfield Recorded 59 percent sales hike in September 2015

Royal Enfield is on fire! The company has managed to record 59 percent rise in sales of motorcycles as compared to the same month of the previous year. Well-known for its strong performance and tough looks, Royal Enfield sold 40,000 units in the last month alone.

On the whole, this Indian based manufacturer sold 44,491 units (Both domestic wholesale and export) in September 2015 while 28,020 units were sold out over the same period last year. The company has sold 43,741 units in the domestic wholesale market. If we go by the figures, the company has sold 16,201 more units than September 2014.

Royal Enfield has exported 750 units in the previous month while 480 units were exported in September 2014 which means 270 units more than the precedent year and registered a growth of 56 percent in exports.

The company has more in store for the Indian market and along with increasing its sales margin during the upcoming festive season, they are also planning to launch the much-awaited RE Himalayan bike by the end of this year. This brand new model is expected to be equipped with 400cc single cylinder motor. Speculations are that the Adventurous RE Himalayan motorcycle is to be priced around Rs 1.75 lac. As the previous models of RE were appraised by the Indian fans, the new model will also grab the attention of most of the Indian bike lovers.
