Royal Enfield has announced that the RE Scram 411 will be launched on March 15. It will be the Chennai-based bikemaker’s more affordable motorcycle based on the Royal Enfield Himalayan and designed to take on the trails.
We’ve already seen the spy shots several times; the most recent sighting was at a dealer yard, with the bike wrapped in snazzy colour schemes. The brochure was also leaked earlier, revealing intricate details of the upcoming motorcycle.
To recap, the Royal Enfield Scram will have a smaller 19-inch spoke wheel, and therefore, the ground clearance will also be slightly lower. The bike gets a triple clamp-mounted headlight and a single-pod semi-digital instrument cluster borrowed from the Royal Enfield Meteor 350, along with a single-piece seat. But it lacks a tail rack, and Tripper Navigation might be an optional fitment.
The Royal Enfield Scram 411 will use the same powertrain as the Himalayan: a 411cc single-cylinder counterbalanced air-oil-cooled engine. In the ADV, the motor makes 24.3PS and 32Nm, working in conjunction with a 5-speed transmission. Expect the Scram 411 to have the same state of tune.

The Royal Enfield Scram 411 could be priced at around Rs 1.95 lakh (ex-showroom), making it around Rs 20,000 less expensive than the Himalayan. It is the perfect middle ground between the Hero XPulse 200 4V and the Royal Enfield Himalayan. The motorcycle goes up directly against the Yezdi Scrambler and the Honda CB350RS.
