The bikemakers upcoming 450cc platform seems to be a promising and exciting one
Royal Enfield has been on a ride to revamp its portfolio with more capable and exciting motorcycles. This dedication has led to the development of a new 450cc liquid-cooled platform, and Enfield is going to juice this platform with multiple bikes – including a Scram 450 and a more off-road capable Scrambler 450.
The first bike to come out of this will be the Himalayan 450, which is likely to launch in the third quarter of 2023. This will be followed by the Scram 450, a more accessible version of the Himalayan likely to debut in early 2024. We have already spied the bike testing on Indian roads multiple times.

The more interesting bit is that a recent investor presentation from the company has revealed that the Scram 450 will be accompanied by a more hardcore and true-to-nature scrambler. The silhouette of the bike, the Scrambler 450, in the document showcases a raised front fender, a flat seat, raised exhaust and a high rear fender as well.

What this translates to is that Enfield is not holding back and is going all guns blazing with its upcoming, all-new 450cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder heart belting out somewhere close to 40PS. This will also be a big step for the Veteran bikemaker in terms of finally aligning with modern-day tech on its bikes.
The Scrambler 450 will be a strong reply by Enfield to the Yezdi Scrambler and the upcoming Triumph-Bajaj Scrambler. Say what you will, but the prospect of this product should be quite exciting and enticing for off-road enthusiasts. Expect Royal Enfield to debut the Scrambler 450 sometime in 2024 after the Scram 450 has been launched.
