The 2021 Himalayan will cost more than the previous model
Royal Enfield is all set to launch the new Himalayan on 11 February 2021. The anticipation for the 2021 Himalayan has been building up with the test-bike being spotted multiple times. Moreover, Royal Enfield also suspended the deliveries of the outgoing model back in late-January.
So, what exactly will the 2021 Himalayan offer over its outgoing model? For starters, Royal Enfield will equip the new bike with the Tripper navigation system, identical to the one used on the Royal Enfield Meteor 350.
For taller riders, the ergonomics on the new Himalayan are likely to be improved by pulling the tank brace towards the front and hence, they will no longer foul with their knees. The seat is also expected to be plushier than before with a dual-tone treatment. Last but not least, the 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan could get three new colours: Pine Green, Mirage Silver and a new shade of the current Granite Black.
We don’t expect any changes to the engine, suspension or the braking hardware of the bike. With the expected updates, the 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan could cost about Rs 5,000 more than the previous-gen model which was priced at Rs 1.91 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
