Suzuki is one of the earliest entrants in the country despite the fact that the manufacturer never enjoyed the market that it deserved. No doubt Suzuki is a leader in terms of big bikes, but to get the numbers, it needs to concentrate more on the commuters. In order to that, Suzuki recently has unveiled two new products a 110cc scooter 'Let’s' and a 155cc bike 'Gixxer'. Besides, it also updated its popular commuter Hayate.
In a recent conversation with Mr. Atul Gupta, Executive VP, Suzuki India, we got to know that Suzuki is working on a new 110cc commuter, which will be more fuel efficient and feature-rich than the Hayate. While Hayate is more youth oriented bike with its dynamic styling, the new bike will be sporting a more mature styling. It will compete with the likes of Mahindra Centuro, Dream Yuga and Discover 100T. The bike will be launched within 2014 sometime, maybe in the festive season. It's going to use the same 110cc engine of the Hayate incorporating the new SEP(Suzuki Eco Performance) technology, which will enhance both - the power and mileage figures. However, all other details remain sketchy at the moment.
