Super Soco CPX Electric Scooter Debuts In Australia

It costs almost four times more than the Ather 450X!

Chinese two-wheeler maker Super Soco has launched its CPX electric scooter in Australia, pricing it at Rs 4.34 lakh (converted from Australian prices), with deliveries commencing soon.

For the money, the scooter has plenty to offer, first of which is its handsome aesthetics. The design cues on the CPX e-scooter include a peculiar twin pod all-LED headlight, a tall transparent windscreen, and ribbed split seat, rounded off by blacked-out body panels with Red/Yellow/Green accents, depending on the colour you opt for. Super Soco is offering the CPX in three colours -- Sonic Silver, Phantom Black and Titanium Grey.

The CPX is ripe with features too. It gets a fully digital LCD instrument cluster, keyless ignition with alarm, a USB port, a reverse gear,a small luggage rack, and even app integration via Bluetooth.

Powering the scooter is a 4.8kW motor putting out 46.5Nm, coupled to a removable 45Ah Li-Ion battery, fully rechargeable in just three hours with the supplied fast charger. Super Soco claims the CPX can reach a top speed of 90kmph and has a range of about 70km on a full charge, perfect for daily commutes.

Tipping the scale at just 107kg (similar to a 110cc petrol-powered scooter) and featuring a low 760mm seat, it’s safe to say the CPX will be a breeze to operate in tight spaces. Meanwhile, if things go south, you have CBS watching your back. 

Sadly, even though the Super Soco CPX has reached our neighbouring continent, we don’t think it’ll reach Indian shores anytime soon, considering Indian taxes and duties would make the prices sky high.
