New vs old. Who gets the better of whom in the real world?
Most small capacity two-wheelers have suffered performance loss in the transition to BS6 emission norms. There are few, though, that have gained from the switch, one of them the BS6 Suzuki Access 125. Here’s how it stacks up against its predecessor in the real world.
Acceleration:
The Access 125 BS6 may not make more power than the BS4 model, but the addition of fuel-injection makes it livelier and more responsive. And the result is pretty evident in the numbers. 0-40kmph comes up 0.57 seconds quicker than the BS4 Access. Same goes for the 0-60kmph run.
Roll-ons:
But the real magic lies in how the BS6 Access delivers its power. Thanks to precise fueling, the scooter is almost a second quicker than the BS4 counterpart while accelerating from 20-50kmph.

Braking:
Weirdly enough, the only area where the BS6 Access 125 losses out is braking. Even though it retains the exact same setup as before, the scooter takes an additional 5.63 metres to come to a dead stop from 60kmph.

Fuel efficiency:
Braking may not be the BS6 Access 125’s forte but it surely delivers in spades when it comes down to fuel-efficiency, outperforming the BS4 model in both city and highway runs.
