After being in rumors for so many times, for setting up another 150cc model for the Indian line-up, Suzuki Motorcycle India Limited now seems to introduce a new model in the Indian market. It is concluded because this time a test mule of its new production has been spotted on the Noida expressway.
After seeing the bike, it was very clear that this is a low end performance bike, it has single cylinder engine with air-cooling. The bike was rushing at the speed of around 125kmph, which makes it pretty sure that it will be a big blast in the Indian market. The exhaust pipe of the bike was a cherry on the cake as it has two pipes designed brilliantly. Sporting a naked look, it also displayed front disc brake. Tank of the bike is quite sporty and muscular, that has been equipped with the flaps. These flaps comes sporting the word, GIXER, which relates to the company's superbike GSX-R. Giving it a name similar to its renowned bikes would accelerate the chances of getting famous and likable.
The bike is expected to take the place of the current 150cc bike, GS150R, as it failed to win the hearts of the people. Suzuki GS150R is equipped with a149.5cc, air-cooled, 4-Stroke, SOHC engine cranking out the top power of 13.8bhp at 8500rpm and top torque of 13.4Nm at 6000rpm. Mated with the six-speed manual transmission, this bike is able to deliver a mileage of around 55kmpl and has a large fuel tank capacity of 15.5 liters.
Although, Suzuki GIXER looks much more futuristic and appealing than GS150R, Suzuki needs to work on its performance as well, as people study on both the factors before buying a new bike. There are possibilities of Suzuki to bring this bike at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo as result of the test could be positive.
