The Suzuki Gixxer SP special edition bikes will get new graphical dual-tone paint scheme along with contrast-coloured seat.
Suzuki Motorcycle India is going to introduce a new Gixxer SP in both the naked and faired versions soon. It has been confirmed by some brochure images posted on a dealer's Facebook page. The special edition bike will get an interesting dual tone paint scheme with checkered flag graphics on the tank shrouds. The bikes have been shown only in the Black and Grey colour scheme in the brochure, however, we can't rule out the possibility of other colours as well. It also gets red and black contrast-coloured seat along with a special edition badge. The company could launch the Gixxer SP in the front and rear disc variant only.
The Suzuki Gixxer is one of the most successful products in the company's portfolio and is available in two versions, one naked and one faired. The faired version has been named ‘Gixxer SF’ and is the most affordable bike with a full body fairing. Powering the bike is a 155cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Using a carburettor type fuel system, the motor makes 14.8PS of maximum power and delivers a peak torque of 14Nm, which is quite impressive when compared to its direct rival, the Yamaha FZ series.
Besides the aggressive styling, the Suzuki Gixxer gets features like beefy 41mm front forks, 7-step adjustable rear monoshock, full LCD instrument console, stylish 3-split-spoke alloy wheels, meaty 140/60 section rear tyre, LED tail lamp, front disc brake as standard and throaty dual-port exhaust muffler. The price of the bike starts at Rs 85,340 (on-road, Delhi) and the company is also offering dual-tone colours and rear disc brake as optional extras.
