Suzuki to celebrate the 30 remarkable years of achievement and progress of its GXR-R line has introduced its second ‘Commemorative Edition’ paint schemes at Indianapolis during the MotoGP event held at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The Red and Black GSX-R commemorate the color scheme Kevin Schwantz applied on his GSX-R750 during his debut in 1986 AMA Superbike campaign with Yoshimura.
Other than the new skin, the bike has been bestowed with a “30 Years of Performance” badge located at the tank. Also the tyres of the motorcycle sport special wheel striping. However, the technical details of the machine remain the same throughout.
It’s been a long time since the manufacturer is pushing this machine, therefore, a whole new model is much anticipated by the motorcycling world in 2017.
Suzuki GSX-R1000 houses a 999cc, 4-stroke, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 16-valve engine that is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. Engineered for an amazing performance on tracks, it has been equipped with Showa inverted big piston forks at the front and fully adjustable link type Showa shock at the rear.
With fat rubbers, the wheels are also fitted with Brembo dual 310mm radially mounted disc brakes with monobloc calipers at the front and Nissin 220mm disc brake with single caliper at the rear. Electronically controlled steering damper and three rider selectable maps are the features that add serenity to its performance.
