Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) has introduced optional engine skid plate for its popular motorcycle Gixxer for an additional cost of Rs. 1600. The accessory adds some more ruggedness to its appearance as well as the safety for the engine crankcase.
Suzuki Gixxer has already created a niche in the 150cc premium motorcycle segment in India along with its faired version, Gixxer SF. Now, the company seems to upgrade the level of its products with optional accessories and the game has already started with the engine skid plate for the Gixxer.
Engine skid plate is commonly used in the off-roading motorcycles to protect the bottom of the engine crankcase from skidding/hitting on a hard surface and bouncing stones. So, if you like to do a little off-roading with your Suzuki Gixxer, it will surely help you to protect your motorcycle.
For those who don’t know much about the bike, Suzuki Gixxer is a premium 155cc motorcycle with aggressive naked sport styling. The single-cylinder, air-cooled engine of the bike is based on Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology and claims to make power up to 14.6bhp along with a peak torque of 14Nm.
The bike comes with elite features like fully digital console, fat 43mm front telescopic forks, 7-step adjustable rear mono-shock suspension, sporty twin-port exhaust muffler, wide 140/60 section rear tyre and much more. Along with all these perks, Suzuki Gixxer costs around Rs. 84,642 (on-road, Delhi) and it also comes in dual tone shades for just Rs. 1,100.
