Suzuki has launched the 2019 edition of its GSX-S750 naked streetfighter in India. For this year, the bike gets two new colours: Pear Glacier White with blue wheels, and Metallic Matte Black with black wheels. These colours replace the previous blue and red colour schemes. In addition, the 2019 edition also gets updated graphics but the bike’s mechanicals remain unchanged. The 2019 GSX-S750 retails for Rs 7,46,513 (ex-showroom, Delhi), a hike of Rs 1,000 over its previous iteration.

The GSX-S750 is powered by a 749cc liquid-cooled inline-four motor that makes 114.2PS and 81Nm of torque. It gets a six-speed gearbox but misses out on a slipper clutch. This motor gets Suzuki’s Easy Start System and Low RPM Assist. In addition, it also gets a 3-mode traction control system. The motorcycle accelerates from zero to 100kmph in 4.05 seconds and can cross the 200kmph mark.

While the GSX-S750 weighs a hefty 215 kg, it handles well for its size. Another highlight is the super sticky Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S21 tyres that give the bike leech-like grip in corners. Its Nissin brake setup replete with radial calipers provide phenomenal bite and brings the bike to a standstill in double quick time.  We first rode the GSX-S750 at the Buddh International Circuit. While the updates for 2019 are just restricted to colours and graphics, we really liked the previous paint schemes. We feel that Suzuki should have brought in the two new colours as an addition rather than a replacement to the previous colours. The Suzuki GSX-S750 competes with the Kawasaki Z900, Ducati Monster 797 and Triumph Street Triple S.
