The 155cc cruiser’s downfall also chalks the possibility of the Intruder 250
Suzuki has confirmed that the Intruder 155 has been discontinued in India. This doesn’t come as a surprise considering that the Japanese cruiser had been recording dismal sales since late-2021.
As a matter of fact, the Suzuki Intruder had reported zero sales between January 2022 and May 2022. Its downfall could be attributed to its unconventional design, because its primary rival, the Bajaj Avenger 160 Street has been raking in decent sales. In May 2022, the Bajaj cruiser recorded sales of 1,824 units.

Another thing that didn’t work in the Suzuki Intruder 155’s favour was its pricing. At Rs 1,28,900 (ex-showroom Delhi), the bike was just Rs 5,000 cheaper than the more powerful Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise.
So, is the Suzuki Intruder 250 still on the cards? Though the company patented the 250cc cruiser in the Indian market in 2020, the story of the Intruder 155 casts a shadow on the Intruder 250’s arrival. So, if you are looking for affordable cruisers, you are currently limited to the Bajaj Avenger duo, but the debut of the TVS Zeppelin R might change that.
