Suzuki Motorcycle India has announced a service campaign for the New Access 125. Under this campaign, 54,740 units of the New Access 125 have been recalled for the inspection and replacement of the rear axle shaft as a precautionary measure. The affected scooters have been manufactured from March 8 to June 22, 2016.

“In pursuance of Suzuki’s commitment to customer satisfaction and as a matter of abundant precaution and safety, we have decided to undertake this service campaign on the New Access 125 scooters to address issues of rear axle/wheel stability that has been identified in some of these scooters.” said a Suzuki Motorcycle spokesperson.

Owners of the New Access 125 will be contacted by Suzuki dealers from today to bring their scooters to the service centre to carry out the service measure. Suzuki India will also be offering a free periodic maintenance service to all the customers who bring the vehicles to the dealership for the replacement. Existing owners of the New Access 125 can inquire at Suzuki dealerships to check whether their vehicle is applicable for the service campaign by providing their purchase details.
