Suzuki Slingshot which is known for its international styling has now got another variant named Suzuki Slingshot Plus. Suzuki Slingshot Plus has recently been launched in Indian market with few changes in the dimension, braking system and front headlight. Now the bike is available in wide range of variants including Suzuki Slingshot Drum Self, Suzuki Slingshot Disc Self, Suzuki Slingshot Plus Drum Kick, Suzuki Slingshot Plus Drum Self and Suzuki Slingshot Plus Disc Self. All the variants of the bikes are available between price range of Rs. 53,000 to 55,800.
If you see it in a birds eye view, you will never notice any difference, but it has a few. This time, the new Suzuki Slingshot has got new headlamp crown resembles FZ 16 and the Disc variant's height has been increased by 20mm while the drum variant got extra 25 mm.
Since launch, this five gearbox bike is getting good response from market. This bike's drawback was only disc brake but this new Slingshot Plus model has been added with the same. Suzuki Slingshot is being manufactured in India hence it is affordable and gives fierce fight to other popular bikes in India.
Suzuki Slingshot Plus is sharing the same engine that is a 124cc, Air-cooled, 4-stroke, 1 cylinder, SOHC engine which is a good performer. The bike delivers maximum power of 8.5 Bhp at 7500 rpm and belts out top torque of 10 Nm at 3500 rpm. This bike is very fuel efficient that delivers mileage of around 60kmpl.
The disc brake and self start featured new variant of the bike has rider friendly dimension: length is 2035 mm, width is 770 mm and height is 1075.00 mm. The ground clearance of the bike is 160mm. The bike carries out maximum weigh of 129 kg.
This new version of Suzuki Slingshot is equipped with Telescopic, Coil spring suspension at front and Swing-arm, Coil spring suspension at rear which make it very smooth on even rough roads. The bike is available in four colours like Metallic Mustard Yellow, Metallic Fox Orange, Candy Antares Red and Pearl Nebular Black.
Overall, the new avatar of the bike is blessed with latest and innovative features which make it very good performer and reliable for the customers. The bike has to compete with Hero Honda Splendor Plus, Honda Shine, TVS Sports Star and Bajaj Platina 125cc, etc. In appearance, this latest bike directly competes with Honda CB Twister.
