Suzuki To Launch 100cc Bikes In India

In the world's second largest two-wheeler market, it seems there is a kind of battle in the 100cc bike segment. Some key players such as Honda, Yamaha and Bajaj has already made announcement to bring their 100cc bikes in India. Now another auto company Suzuki Motorcycle is eyeing on 100cc bike segment and is ready to enter in the commuter segment with the launching of 100cc competitor bikes very soon.

Suzuki Motorcycle India is number five two-wheeler maker firm in Indian two-wheeler market that presently sells 125cc to 1783 cc bikes in like Suzuki Slingshot, Suzuki Zeus, Suzuki Heat, Suzuki Bandit, Suzuki GS, Suzuki GSXR, Suzuki Hayabusa, Suzuki Intruder M1800r, etc. The company released a commuter bike last year to make some gain from the all popular segment; the model is Suzuki Slingshot which is major competitor of Hero Honda Splendor, Honda Shine and Bajaj Discover in terms of price, technology and performance.

Suzuki Motorcycle India is another Japan based company after Yamaha, Honda and Kawasaki which had earned good name in the Indian market. Suzuki's 125cc bikes are cheaper than Hero Honda, Honda and Yamaha's commuter bikes. And now upcoming 100cc Suzuki bikes will make foray in Indian commuter bike market. The news is confirmed by Suzuki Motorcycle India's vice-president Atul Gupta who is taking care of Marketing & Sales department.

The company is also having a popular and flagship scooter Suzuki Access 125 which is major competitor of Honda Activa, Mahindra Duro and Rodeo. Suzuki's mid-size bike market share has increased by 25 per cent than 10 per cent previous year. Now the company hopes its upcoming 100cc bikes would get buzz response from market. This 100cc bike would be launched by the end of year 2012.
