You can reserve the Soriano Giaguaro using a truly modern form of payment - in Bitcoins!

• Soriano Giaguaro V1R and V1S are priced at Euro 25,500 ( around Rs 21.56 lakh) and Euro 30,500 (around Rs 25.78 lakh) respectively
• Apart from a twin-motor setup, these e-bikes also boast a 5-speed transmission with a reverse gear
• Both e-bikes get a claimed riding range of up to 290km

Soriano Motori has unveiled its electric motorcycles, the Giaguaro V1R, V1R Gara and V1S globally. For the uninitiated, Soriano Motori Factory SpA was a European motorcycle brand founded by Ricardo Soriano-Scholtz in 1919, but is now owned by the US-headquartered Soriano Motori Corp. The company manufactures its electric motorcycles in Italy and is expected to showcase its new offerings at the upcoming EICMA 2021.

The Giaguaro V1R and V1S get a circular headlight, beefy-looking fairing, and a lean tail section giving it  a sharp and futuristic look. Likewise, certain portions of the bike are left exposed to give it an aggressive look to justify its name, Giaguaro, which is the Italian word for Jaguar.

The electric motorcycles come equipped with features like all-LED lights, dual disc brakes at the front and a fully digital instrument cluster that seems to be placed on the tank area. Customers can also configure their e-bikes by choosing between Alcantara and Tech Seat options, and three bike sound effects (Silent EV, Urban EV and Sound of the future).

Giaguaro models are powered by a dual-battery system which, for some reason, is called the ‘LIB anti-virus pack’. This battery pack requires five hours to charge fully via a 3.5kW charger, and less than 60 minutes when charged via a 20kW fast charger. This battery pack lends the V1R a riding range of 241km, while the V1S can travel  48km extra as it gets a range of 290km. The electric motorcycles are propelled by twin liquid-cooled brushless motors that churn out 81.57PS on the V1S and 97.89PS on the V1R, while the torque output remains constant at 155Nm. The motor is linked to a 5-speed transmission with a hydraulic clutch, and it also comes with a reverse gear for added convenience.

Ride comfort on both bikes is taken care of by a girder aluminium suspension at the front and a progressive monoshock at the rear, while braking is taken care of via a pair of 320mm discs up front and a 260mm disc at the rear.

The electric motorcycle maker has priced the Giaguaro V1R and the V1S at Euro 25,500 (around 21.56 lakh) and Euro 30,500 (around Rs 25.78 lakh) respectively. The range-topping V1R Gara carries a label of EUR 32,500, which translates to roughly Rs 27.58 lakh. That’s a lot of money for an electric motorcycle. Having said that, the moolah is well worth it, as it’s got the range, the performance, and the unique looks to back up the premium.

Customers can pre-book the bikes by paying a token amount of Euro 1,000 (which can also be paid via Bitcoin). The Giaguaro V1R will be available in a total of six colour options, while the V1S will be offered in a total of seven. Europeans looking for a premium but more conventional motorcycle can take a look at the likes of the Harley-Davidson LiveWire, Zero SR/S, Zero SR/F, Energica Ego, Eva Ribelle or the EsseEsse 9.
