Called the Jaeger, it comes from RE’s collaboration with Vietnam-based Bandit9 Motors

Royal Enfield loves teaming up with custom bikemakers and it almost always results in swanky heart-throbbing products. It’s the same case this time around as it has paired up with Vietnamese custom bike builder, Bandit9, to reveal an all-chrome custom Continental GT 650 called the Jaeger. What all is different, you ask? Let us break it down.

First and foremost, the most obvious change is the bike’s bodywork. Even though the GT 650 is already offered in a chrome colour option, Bandit9 has thrown in plenty more. All custom parts, including the fuel tank, fenders and handlebar, are finished in steel. The front and rear cowls are also custom built, resulting in a rather streamlined and sleek-looking motorcycle. The cowls also house the dual LED headlights, LED tail lamp, and rear turn signals -- all neatly integrated.

The package also comes with custom steel rear view mirrors, black spoke wheels, steel grips, levers, switches, and a unique old-school analogue instrument cluster, enhancing its attention to detail. The stock seat has also been swapped with a scooped waterproof suede seat.

Not a lot has changed on the performance front, though. The Jaeger employs the Continental GT 650’s 648cc twin-cylinder motor churning out 47.6PS and 52Nm. However, Bandit9 has thrown in a custom twin-exhaust system which looks as good as it sounds. Everything is held together by the same double-cradle frame from the Conti, sprung on the same telescopic fork and twin shocks.

If you’re going gaga over this as much as we are, you’d be happy to know Bandit9 is offering a body kit to transform your Conti 650 to the Jaeger. The only setback is you’ll probably have to fly to Vietnam to get it. If you’re privileged enough to buy it whole, you will have to hurry as only nine Jaegers will be made available to the public, priced at 28,000 Dollars (Rs 21 lakh). Better apply for a visa to Vietnam if you want one!
