#TokyoMotorShow - Kawasaki unveils Z125 Street Fighter

Kawasaki has unveiled its 125cc street fighter, Z125 at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. The bike is expected to launch in Japan and other parts of Asia. However, it is not expected to be a part of company’s Indian line-up. The 125cc motorcycle is expected to be priced at around Rs. 1.4 lac in Japan and will rival the likes of Honda MSX125 aka Grom. The bike will be available in two trims - Z125 and Z125 Pro and will feature in following three colors - Candy Lime Green, Metallic Graphite Gray and Candy Burnt Orange.

The motorcycle is equipped with a 125cc, SOHC, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out 9.5 PS of power. The engine comes mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission and a 4-speed manual for Z125 and Z125 Pro respectively. It gets a 100/90 R12 front and 130/70 R12 rear tyre with disc brakes at both wheels for good stopping power. The suspension system comprises of USD and mono shock at the front and rear end respectively. The design of this bike is inspired by the more powerful Z-series offerings as it gets a low-set headlamp with a masculine fuel tank (capacity of 7.4 litres), a raised tail and sporty shrouds holding the ‘Z’ badge. The analog-digital instrument cluster houses a digital speedometer, an analog tachometer, fuel gauge, gear indicator, clock, odometer and a trip meter.
