It’s the Activa range that tops the sales chart yet again
As things get back to normal, the Indian two-wheeler industry is gradually picking up pace. Apart from welcoming quite a few new electric and petrol-powered scooters lately, the sales figures too are slowly marching up the hill. But which scooters have made it to the top of the charts for July? Here’s the list.
The Honda Activa continues to enjoy the highest sales, with a healthy growth of 53.04 percent for July ‘21. Not to mention, the numbers are cumulative and include both the Activa 6G and the Activa 125 figures.
Like all the other scooters on the chart, the Access 125 too has raked in better numbers than before. Moreover, despite costing more, it outsold the TVS Jupiter in July and secured the second spot with 39.76 percent more sales than June. Meanwhile, even after slipping to the third position, the Jupiter has seen 18.15 percent more sales in July than that of June.
The NTorq 125 has raked in 42.69 percent better sales. We believe this could be a result of the recently launched NTorq 125 Race XP, one of the most feature-packed scooters in the segment. You get smartphone connectivity, and even segment-first ride modes and voice assist features.
Last but not least, the Honda Dio has secured the fifth spot at 20,604 units (a marginal 8.18 percent more) sold in July against 18,983 units sold in June.
All in all, the sales figures have seen a notable hike in July. The Indian scooter market will likely welcome a new entrant in the near future in the form of the Yamaha Aerox 155.
