Suzuki Motorcycles India has recently launched the updated version of its 125cc scooter - Access in the Indian market. There is not much competition in this segment and hence the new Access might turn out to be a big game changer for the company. The Activa 125, which is the closest rival of the scooter now falls short of some features in comparison. Most often the updates on a model are pretty much cosmetic. Suzuki though has gone behind the panels as well and given some treatment to its engine too
Let’s have a look at top five updates that Suzuki has implemented in the new Access:
1. Refreshing Body Design:
The company has made some impressive changes here. The new Access now comes with a completely new headlamp with chromed casing. The body design has also been revised with a complete makeover of the side panels. The clear lens turn indicators add a premium appeal to the scooter. The scooter also gets a three dimensional ‘Access’ monogram.
2. Best-in-class Floorboard and Underseat Storage:
The 2016 Access 125 has been blessed with a generous 21-litre under seat storage, making it the largest in its segment. Furthermore, the floorboard has also been extended and the new version makes it comfortable for tall riders.
3. New Alloy Wheels and Optional Front Disc Brake:
The stunning new Access now rides on stylish 12-inch alloy wheels that look appealing. The optional front disc brake offers good stopping power and gives a premium look with the alloys.
4. Suzuki Eco Performance Technology (SEP):
The company has tuned the engine for better performance and has coupled it with the Suzuki Eco Performance technology (SEP). With the help of SEP, the friction between the moving parts reduces in order to smoothen out the engine performance. With this, Suzuki also claims to offer a best-in-class mileage of 64kmpl.
5. Convenient Features:
The new Access 125 has been bestowed with a front pocket, a one-key enabled shutter lock and a mobile charging socket. Besides this, the instrument cluster is also new and the scooter now features a digital-analog instrument cluster for easy access to information.
