Triumph India launches Thunderbird LT at INR 15.75 lakh

Indian arm of the British motorcycle manufacturer, Triumph, launched its Thunderbird LT cruiser at INR 15.75 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Powering this new premium cruiser is the world’s largest parallel twin motorcycle engine, a 1699cc eight-valve DOHC. The engine pumps out 93 bhp of maximum power and 151Nm of peak torque. The motorcycle is available in three color options- Caspian Blue, Crystal White and Lava Red / Phantom Black.

Speaking at the launch, Vimal Sumbly, Managing Director, Triumph Motorcycles India Pvt. Ltd. said “The last 10 months have been extraordinary for Triumph Motorcycles in India. The run has been nothing less than brilliant with 8 functional dealerships successfully selling over 835 motorcycles (Bookings and Retails). The excitement and enthusiasm we have seen for Triumph has been inspiring to say the least! The launch of Thunderbird LT stems from the kind of response we get from our patrons and brand enthusiasts via dealers or social networks.

Introduction of this new offering takes the Triumph India line-up to 12 motorcycles on-sale today, less than a year since commencing operations in the country. Despite Thunderbird LT, the Trimuph's portfolio comprises of Bonneville, Bonneville T100, Speed Triple, Rocket III Roadster, Street Triple, Thruxton, Tiger 800 XC, Tiger Explorer, Daytona 675 and the 675R. Currently, the British manufacturer has 8 functional dealerships across the country, in New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. Also 2 more dealership will be coming up in Kolkata followed by Chandigarh very soon.
