Triumph Motorcycle India unveiled Tiger XCx and XRx at the 2015 IBW

2015 India Bike Week (IBW) witnessed the new Tiger XCx and XRx unvieled by Mr. Vimal Sumbly, MD, Triumph Motorcycle India. Both of the variants are equipped with lots of advance features and expected to join the fleet in March 2015.

Propelling the 2015 Triumph Tiger XCx and XRx is the same 800cc, inline-three engine, which Powers the existing Triumph Tiger 800 XC. However, the new Tigers are said to be upto 17 percent more fuel efficient. The liquid cooled mill of the bikes make around 94bhp of maximum power and delivers torque upto 79Nm. Both the bikes have configurable RIDER riding modes, ROAD and OFF-ROAD riding modes, 4-mode traction control and cruise control as standard features.

Other standard features of the new Tigers are trip computer, adjustable brake and clutch levers, adjustable seat height, hand guards, auxiliary 12V power socket and more. Braking systems of the bikes are combined of twin 308mm discs with 2-piston sliding callipers a the front and single 255mm disc with single-piston sliding calliper at the rear. The arrangement also gets a switch-able ABS as an standard fitments with both the variants.

The 2015 Triumph Tiger XRx comes with Showa suspension set-up using 43mm inverted telescopic front forks and monoshock rear suspension having hydraulically adjustable preload. The bike runs on light weight 10-spoke alloy wheels and gets an adjustable screen at the front.

The 2015 Triumph Tiger XCx gets a fully adjustable WP suspension set-up, which has 43mm upside-down telescopic forks at the front with adjustable rebound and compression damping. The rear monoshock suspension of the bike comes with remote oil reservoir, adjustable preload and rebound damping adjustment. The XCx is a more off roading focused motorcycle with higher ground clearance, big spoked wheels, high mounted front mudguard, radiator guard, aluminium sump guard and engine protection bars.
