Triumph Motorcycles India To Launch The Bonneville T100 On October 18

Update: Triumph Motorcycles India has launched the 2017 Bonneville T100 in the country with a starting price tag of Rs 7.78 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)

Triumph Motorcycles has a substantial portfolio in India and tomorrow it will be adding one more bike to that line-up. While Triumph has yet to officially announce the bike, confirmed sources indicate that it is the Bonneville T100 which was unveiled at INTERMOT. The T100 will be one of the smallest and more affordable member of the Bonneville family and should be priced around the Rs 8 lakh mark.

Visually, the T100 looks similar to the larger T120 but comes with a shorter wheelbase, lower seat and relaxed dynamics that should make it accessible to the novice rider. If you are not a fan of the retro-looks, Triumph also have an all-black version of the T100 called the T120 Black, which may soon follow the T100 here.

The Bonneville T100 shares its 900cc parallel twin engine and some cycle parts with the Street Twin. The 55PS motor is a torquey unit making 80Nm of torque at just 3,230rpm. The power delivery is quite linear and accessible, a boon for new riders. Also helpful are the electronic riding aids like ride-by-wire, ABS and switchable traction control carried over from the Street Twin.
