Triumph Motorcycles Launches in India

Triumph, the iconic, British motorcycle brand has entered the Indian market with the launch of its 10 new prestigious models in 5 different categories- Classics, Roadsters, Adventure, Cruiser and Supersports. Triumph was established in the year 1902 and celebrated its 110 years of motorcycle manufacturing in the year 2012. Building about 50,000 bikes per year, Triumph is the largest British manufacturer and has more than 740 dealers across the world.

The five different categories will include the iconic Bonneville and Bonneville T100, the legendary Speed Triple, the largest production motorcycle the Rocket III Roadster, the class leading Street Triplet, the cool café racer Thruxton, the go anywhere Tiger 800 XC  and Tiger Explorer, the stripped back and black Thunderbird Storm and the king of superbikes, the Daytona 675R.

With the launch of these bikes Triumph exclusive dealership will also be operational in the four major cities Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. The company has also decided to open more dealerships across the country in the next few months, to ensure that all the bike lovers across the territory are able to enjoy the’ Triumph ride’ experience. For the complete biking experience the dealership stores will also provide the facility of genuine parts, seamless after sales services, authentic merchandise and accessories across the country.

Among the various new models the Bonneville, Bonneville T100, Daytona 675R, Street Triplet, Speed Triple and Thruxton will be assembled at the assembly facility established in Manesar, Haryana. While the Rocket III Roadster, Tiger Explorer, Tiger 800 XC and Thunderbird Storm will be imported into India as Completely Built Units (CBUs).

Triumph motorcycles from the start have the philosophy of developing truly unique motorcycles that offer a blend of design, handling and performance. Of this philosophy the iconic Bonneville of the 60’s has today created a broad range of bikes.

These are the 2.3-liter Rocket III, Speed Triple and Daytona675 to suit all the motorcycle riders.  At present, the company employs around 2,000 personnel worldwide and has its operations running at UK, America, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Japan, Sweden, Benelux, Brazil and Now in India. The manufacturing facility for Triumph is located in Hinckley, Leicestershire and Thailand while the assembling facility is located only in two countries Brazil and India.
