Triumph ready to launch upto 8 bike models in India

The craze of riding super powerful sports bike in India has opened the gates for International bike manufacturing companies to step in the Indian bike market and today as the result of this some legendary and renowned International bike manufacturing companies have developed their specific segment of bike riders in India. The main International bike companies dominating Indian market are Harley Davidson, Ducati, BMW and Hyosung, all these companies are selling the wide  range of bike manufactured by them. There are reports that the British renowned Bike manufacturing company Triumph Motorocycles is speculating to find the marketing opportunities of launching its bikes in Indian bike market. It is reported to launch up to 8 bikes in India very soon.

The Indian two wheeler market being the world’s second largest bike market has always been the fascinating market for the two wheeler companies throughout the world. The Triumph sources revealed that Triumph is contemplating to make its debut in Indian bike market by 2012 by launching eight super bikes in the series of Triumph Bikes in India. The launch of Triumph Motorcycles will present the tough competition to Harley Davidson and domestic bike Enfield. There are rumours that the Triumph Bikes will be imported directly from Britain, however there are signs that Triumph is interested to set up its assembling plant in India after the launch of Triumph Motorcycles.

In the statement given by Mr. Nick Bloor, CEO, Triumph Motorcycles, UK, said, that there are vast opportunities of market development in India and Triumph has reached on this decision after carrying out  the intensive study about Indian bike market. Mr. Bloor further added that Triumph Motorcycles consider it as their expansion in the universal market.

There is huge fleet of bikes manufactured by Triumph Motorcycles the main among them are Daytona 675, Triumph Tiger 800 and Triumph Rocket III, 2.3 Litre bike. However in India Triumph is speculating to launch bikes 800 cc plus engine with price ranging between Rs. 4.77 lakhs to Rs. 9 Lakhs, there are chances of increasing the prices due to import duty to be paid for importing them. At present company is penetrating to decide that which bikes it should sale in Indian bike market and will it be useful to set up the assembly plant in India.

Triumph Motorcycles has appointed Mr. Ashish Joshi as the Managing Director of Triumph Motorcycles for Indian region. Prior to this Mr. Joshi carried the marketing operations of Royal Enfield in the market of  European countries and played a major role in establishing the strong market for Royal Enfield there. Triumph expects the same magic from him for their bikes in India.
