Triumph Motorcycles has reintroduced the Bonneville T100 at the ongoing 2016 INTERMOT motorcycle trade show in Germany. The T100 will slot in the iconic Bonneville range offering a diverse selection to its prospective buyers. Triumph has lifted the engine from the Street Twin and bolted it onto the chassis of a Bonneville T120 to form the Bonneville T100. Staying true to the classical style and timeless design, the new Bonneville T100 retains the same, being one of the most renowned motorcycles in history.
The British bike manufacturer will be offering the new T100 in two trim options - Standard and T100 Black. For the Black variant, the T100 comes with black wheels, blacked-out engine covers, and black signature exhaust mufflers. The black theme further splits offering an option to choose between a Matte Black or Jet Black colour scheme.
As mentioned above, the Bonneville T100 will be powered by 900cc twin-mill that does duty in the Street Twin. The parallel-twin develops 55PS of max power at 5900rpm and 80Nm of peak torque at 3230rpm. The Bonneville T100 gets all the electronic gadgetry offered on the T120 which includes the traction control, ride-by-wire throttle and engine immobiliser. The bike features an LED tail light, while the saddle makes use of a deeper foam that Triumph claims to provide better comfort on long journeys.
The T100 is available in three dual-tone colour schemes wherein the coach lines on the tank are hand painted. Apart from the equipment available on the T100, Triumph Motorcycles offers 150 official accessories to customise the motorcycle as per the buyer’s needs. Expect the T100 to arrive at Indian shores soon and make its place between the Bonneville T120 and Street Twin.
