Triumph Thruxton R: Image Gallery, Specs & Much More

Triumph has finally showcased its most awaited model from the Bonneville range Thruxton R and this machine made its debut at the 2016 Auto Expo. The displayed model is the updated version of the Thruxton. However, out of five mdoels displayed here only three of the motorcycles, Street Twin, T120 and Thruxton R will be launched in India at the moment. The 2016 Thruxton R receives a major update in the form of a brand new air-cooled 1200cc parallel twin engine which is the highest state of tune - high power (HP) - among the Bonneville line. It develops a peak torque of 112Nm at 4,950 rpm and the power figure is expected to be the same as that for the model sold in other developing markets such as Brazil. The fully-specced Thruxton R is Triumph’s take on a retro race-ready machine. It comes shod with Showa upside down forks up front, Brembo Monobloc radially-mounted callipers and a fully-adjustable Ohlins rear shock set. For absolute tractability and comfort, the new Thruxton R will come equipped with Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa tyres. The R gets three ride modes - road, rain and sports, apart from traction control, slip-assist clutch and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).
