Triumph India has teased the launch date of its upcoming ADV on its social media handles. The Tiger Sport 660 will debut on 29 March, and we expect the ADV to carry a price tag of around Rs 8 lakh ex-showroom.
Although the bike is based on the Triumph Trident, visually both the bikes are quite different. The middleweight ADV carries a sharp and striking design. It features twin LED headlights with DRLs, slim LED turn indicators and a tall windscreen upfront.
The profile of the motorcycle looks sporty, thanks to the fairing, underbelly exhaust and single-piece seat. It comes equipped with a 17.2-litre fuel tank for better range while touring and twin sharp rear grab handles. The tail section of the ADV looks lean and features an LED tail light.
On the features front, the Tiger Sport 660 gets a switchable traction control system, two riding modes (Rain and Road) and a TFT instrument cluster with an optional My Triumph Connectivity System that enables turn-by-turn navigation.

The Triumph Tiger Sport 660 is powered by the same 660cc triple-cylinder engine as seen on the Trident that churns out 81PS and 64Nm (same tune). This motor comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. Talking about the changes, the Tiger Sport 660 gets a new subframe, extended swingarm and minor tweaks to the steering geometry.
The ride of the ADV is taken care of by Showa separate function cartridge USD fork upfront (150mm travel) and a Showa monoshock at the rear with remote preload adjustment. For braking, it uses twin 310mm discs at the front and a 255mm single disc at the rear with Nissin calipers; this setup is further assisted by dual-channel ABS. The Triumph Tiger Sport 660 rolls on 17-inch wheels that come wrapped in Michelin Road 5 tyres.
The Tiger Sport 660 will be offered in three colour options: Korosi Red/Graphite, Lucerne Blue/Sapphire Black and Graphite/Sapphire Black. Upon its arrival, the bike will compete with the likes of Kawasaki Versys 650, Honda CB500X and Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT.
