TVS Announces NTorq 125 ‘Call Of Design’ Contest

The winning team will receive prizes and NTorq 125 merchandise.

• The contest is for budding design students to showcase their talent by designing a possible NTorq variant 
• The contest is open to design students and media professionals as well.
• The design challenge is limited to cosmetic updates like graphics and colour. 

TVS has announced a competition for design students to pen the lines of what could be the NTorq 125 Race Edition scooter. This contest is open for auto journalists and students of leading design institutes. Leading design institutes across India have confirmed their participation. The 5 shortlisted journalists and design student will be paired together and will advance to the next stage of the competition. The competition will commence on August 7.

The brief is to design a ‘race edition’ variant of the NTorq 125. Primarily, the competition will focus mainly on cosmetic bits like colour and graphics with no changes to the bodywork. The shortlisted student participants will get one TVS NTorq 125 scooter at their institute for the project. Assisting them will be the media participant who will act as a guide to the project. The team will have 15 days to update the donor scooter with their design. TVS will provide the team with Rs 15,000 to fund expenses for the project.

Winners of the design contest will be announced in September. They will receive prizes and TVS merchandise. While TVS has not confirmed this, it is possible that the winning design could become a new variant of the 125cc scooter called the TVS NTorq 125 Race Edition.
