TVS Motors has announced the launch of TVS Apache RTR 180 with ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System). But before launch, the company is doing survey in the market about the ABS in the bike. The company has started talking about ABS in bikes, the users are asked to share their expectation and experiences with ABS.
After the announcement of Honda CBR 250R & Bajaj Pulsar 250 with ABS, TVS has also equipped its flagship bike model TVS Apache RTR 180 with this security system. TVS is the third largest two-wheeler giant in Indian market and always comes with new.
The company has displayed this ABS version at New Delhi Auto Expo 2010 and now ready to take it on roads. The bike is also equipped with an advanced Hydraulic-Electronic Control Unit (HECU) and a patented speed sensing technology that continuously monitors the wheel speed of the bike.
The TVS Apache is the most popular bike model from TVS stable which is available in two variants such as TVS Apache RTR 160 and TVS Apache RTR 180. The 180 variant of the bike possesses 4 Stroke, Single Cylinder, 177.4cc powerplant that develops maximum power of 17.3 Bhp at 8500 rpm and top torque of 15.5 Nm at 6500 rpm. The bike has attractive and sporty body design. And new the Apache with ABS is also expected with some changes in body and look.
On the hand, TVS is planning to add one more big variant in its Apache series. The name of this big bike is TVS Apache 250 that might be launched before end of this year. This bike is expected with ABS and new body design.
