TVS bikes sale growth 42 percent in December 2010

TVS Motors which is the country's number third two-wheeler manufacturer has achieved remarkable growth in the month of December 2010. The company reported 42 per cent sales growth with sales mark of 171790 units in the month of December 2010 as compared to same month 2009.
TVS Motors sold 1516606 units of the two wheeler since month of April 2010 to December 2010 which is 34 percent more as compared to same period of 2009 with the sales of 1109054 units.
The company is doing well in scooter segment with sales growth of 97 per cent with 41804 units as compared to 21566 units in the month of the month of December, 2009. The company registered 24 per cent growth in bikes with sales of 61404 units in the month of December 2010 as compared to 49560 units in the same month of year 2009.
TVS Motors exported 19002 units of two wheelers in December 2010 against 17222 units in the month of December 2009. The company is doing well in Indian market with its bikes and scooters. It has a big series of popular bikes and scooters in Indian market and most popular two wheeler are TVS Apache RTR (160cc, 180cc), TVS Start City, TVS Star Sport, TVS Jive, TVS Scooty, TVS Wego and TVS Flame. In addition to this, it is going to launch TVS Rockz and TVS Velocity in the mid of this year.
