From a different paint finish to subtle cosmetic changes, here’s everything that is missing from the limited-edition Jupiter Grande to the Jupiter ZX variant
TVS has given the Jupiter’s ZX disc variant a couple of updates and a new price tag of Rs 58,645 (ex-showroom Delhi). Surprisingly, these are the same set of updates the limited-edition Jupiter Grande (Rs 59,648) came with before being discontinued. However, the Jupiter ZX is around Rs 1,000 more affordable than the Grande, which begs the question - what exactly does it miss out on?
1) Cross-stiched seat
Take a closer look and you’ll notice the brown cross-stitched seat has now been replaced with a conventional dual-tone saddle. While it won’t affect outright comfort, we have to say the unique pattern of the Grande’s seat was more appealing to look at. Additionally, TVS has also replaced the rear body-coloured grab rail with a silver one.
2) Diamond-cut alloy wheels
This is perhaps the biggest cosmetic difference here. The company has replaced the diamond-cut alloy wheels of the Grande with conventional looking units. Wheel size, though, remains the same at 12-inches on both ends. Thankfully, this change shouldn't affect the handling experience of the scooter.
3) Chrome bits
The Jupiter Grande used to come with a healthy amount of chrome accents sprinkled across the bodywork. This included chrome bits on the front mudguard, side panels and more. Its replacement, the Jupiter ZX, goes for a subdued look instead and misses out on those chrome bits.
