TVS Motor records sales growth of 30 per cent in January 2011

TVS Motors, the country's third largest two wheeler maker company, has reported 30 per cent growth in domestic market in the month of January 2011. The 165,152 units of the two wheelers were sold in the month of January 2011 against 127,288 units in the same month of the year 2010. The total sale of the company is 1,678,048 units between April 2010 to January 2011.

TVS Apache, TVS Wego and TVS Star are the major two wheeler of the company which are getting buzz response from domestic and overseas market.  The Total sales of the company rose 29 per cent with sales of 161,725 units in the month of January 2011 as compared to 125,578 units in the same month of last year.

 

The cumulative sales of the two wheelers has increased 33 per cent in the period of April 2010 to January 2010 with sales of 1,646,827 units against 1,234,632 units in the corresponding duration. 

 

TVS Scooters are also doing well in the market and it accounts increased sales of 60 per cent at 40,736 units as compared to 25,509 units in January 2010 which is surprising for the company while motorcycles got 24 per cent growth at 67,721 units in January 2011 as compared to 54,698 units of same month of previous year. TVS Motors exported 19,498 units of two wheelers as compared to 16,074 units in January 2010. 

 

All the TVS two-wheelers are getting good response from market and recently TVS Wego won "Scooter of the Year Award" due to it's design elegance, engine efficiency, smoothness of handling and ride quality and reliability. On the other hand TVS Apache, TVS Star, TVS Jive, TVS Scooty are the most popular two wheelers in India from TVS stable.
