TVS Motor sales reports in April 2010

TVS Motors India Limited, one of the leading two-wheeler manufacturer, has cleared its motive to grow two-wheeler sales more than the previous year by tremendous sales performance in this current fiscal year. The company recorded a total two-wheeler sales growth by 28 percent to 144,689 units as against 113,119 units in the same month of last year. TVS Motor Company sales raised by 24 percent to 66,000 units in April 2010. In the same period of last year, the company sold only 53,235 units in the Indian auto market. That means, the demand of motorcycles is growing very quickly across the country. Besides, the company scooters are also recorded robust sales growth by 43 percent from 18,819 units in April 2009 to 26,860 units in the last month. TVS Motors three wheelers also zoomed considerably. It has registered sales of 2483 units in April 2010, compare to 706 units in April 2009. TVS Motors exports significantly increased by 90 percent in the previous month with sales of 19,218 two-wheelers over 10,134 units in the same month of previous year. During the last month, TVS Motors has launched its new unisex styling matel bodied scooter 'TVS Wego'. It has got a positive response from the market among customers. TVS Wego will be launched all around the country within the next two months.
