Strategic partnership will allow the two companies to further deepen the commercial mobility ecosystem
TVS Motor Company recently announced a strategic partnership with Rapido, a delivery and mobility platform. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between TVS Motor and Rapido to enhance its presence in the mobility space. Additionally this partnership will cover both two-wheeler and three-wheeler vehicles and extend across ICE and EV segments.
Over the past few years, the intra-city mobility segments of bike-taxi, auto and delivery have experienced a significant boom, mainly due to an increase in the urban population having ready access to smartphones and now present the potential of being a $15 Billion industry. By signing this MOU, TVS Motor and Rapido are bringing together their strength in mobility and technology platform respectively, to cater to the demanding user base.

Expect Rapido’s fleet to be enhanced by TVS’ commuter offerings, which includes the TVS Sport, Star City Plus, Radeon and the Raider 125. Additionally, we could also see the TVS iQube Electric to be used in the green commercial mobility space.
This MoU is announced at a time when TVS is gearing up to expand its electric product portfolio which spreads across 5-25kW two and three wheelers, with an aim of launching all by mid-2023. In a related development, the company is also all set to launch a new XT variant of the TVS NTorq 125, and you can read all the details here.
