TVS Motors is all set to launch its much awaited two 125cc Flame in the market with twin-spark plug technology. However, the company is waiting for the much needed clearance. The company officials told that every company requires re-certification for re-launch. TVS is also waiting for the same to launch the 125cc Flame in India. The officials denied to provide the details about the total number of Flames to be launched in India. It may be recalled that Bajaj Auto and TVS Motors were battling over the use of twin-spark plugs in their bikes. Bajaj Auto had claimed that TVS was infringing on its patent. After a case was filed in the Madras High Court and TVS was directed to stop the production, marketing and selling the 125cc Flame. After the objection of Bajaj, the court later allowed to sell the bike but Bajaj filed a special leave petition in the Apex court of India. The Supreme Court allowed TVS to sell 125cc Flame with twin-spark plugs till November 30 and directed the Madaras High Court to hear the case and give verdict till November 30. In between, TVS will have a record of the sales of the bike.
