TVS Motors gets 24 percent growth in Feb

TVS Motors, India's third largest two-wheeler manufacturer has reported 24 per cent sales growth in domestic market in the month of February 2011. The company gets this growth in the all segments such as two-wheeler (Bike and scooter) and three wheelers.

TVS Motors sold 177412 units in the month of February this year as compared to 142676 units in the same month of year 2010. Meanwhile the cumulative sales is 1855460 units for the period of April 2010 to February this year. 

On the other hand, the company recorded 23 per cent growth with the sales of 173200 units in the month of February this year as compared to 140544 units in same month of previous year. 

The total two-wheeler sales grew by 32 per cent in with sales of 1820027 units in the period of April 2010 to February this year as against 1375176 units in the period of month April to February previous year. The company recorded 25 per growth with the sales of 151,526 units in the month of February this year as compared to 121,403 units in the same month of previous year.

TVS Scooter are also doing well and 49 per cent growth has been contributed by them that accounts for 40335 units as compared to 24017 units in the month of February previous year. And bikes sales grew by 13 per cent with the total sold units of 71462 in this month as compared to 63394 units in the moth of February previous year. 

The company got 13 per cent growth in export market and total 24036 units of vehicles exported including 21674 units of the bikes in February this year as against previous year.
