The TVS Motosoul is back with a bang this year, in Goa. For the 2023 edition, the Hosur-based bikemaker unveiled four unique custom TVS Ronin bikes at the biking fest, one of which was developed by the company itself.
The Ronin SCR concept was designed and developed by TVS, giving the neo-retro motorcycle a proper off-road ready scrambler look. The motorcycle comes with a braced handlebar, flyscreen, high-set fenders, long travel inverted fork and monoshock, 19-inch front, 17-inch rear spoke wheels shod with Shinko Adventure Trail block pattern tyres, rear set footpegs along with a single piece ribbed seat. More importantly, it gets a cool looking twin vertically stacked high-set exhausts from TVS Factory Custom. The projector LED headlight is custom too, and the bike gets a tail rack as well. Overall, the SCR concept looks properly off-road ready, and is well executed.
Giving the Ronin a cafe racer twist is the Wakizashi, a custom creation by Jaipur-based Rajputana Customs. Its slammed clip-on handlebars, old-school halogen headlight, spoke wheels and minimalistic brushed metal body panels reek of purposeful sportiness.
On the other hand, the Musashi by Indonesia’s Smoked Garage looks ready to go down and dirty. This brat-themed custom features a rugged facia complimented by the headlight grille, massive protective plate covering most of the engine from the front, repositioned instrument cluster on the left near the engine, and nifty looking auxiliary lights mounted near the front wheel axle. The floating rear looks properly elegant thanks to the chopped subframe, and more importantly, a repositioned rear monoshock. This motorcycle also rolls on spoke wheels albeit with uber cool carbonfibre cover, and Dunlop flat track tyres. The name Musashi is inspired by the undefeated Samurai, Ronin.
JVB Moto from Germany showed their love for Goa (and of course the Ronin) with the Agonda, inspired by the Agonda beach. This scrambler comes with retro-futuristic body panels draped in white along with a neat looking multicolor pinstripe on the fuel tank. This bike also gets off-road friendly Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres, and an aftermarket exhaust.
Apart from these custom bikes, TVS also announced its foray into Flat Track racing, and unveiled a purpose built bike for the same. The Ronin flat tracker gets rid of the front brake, rolls on flat track tyres, features minimal body panels with the race number near the tail section, and gets a high-set exhaust. With the new initiative, TVS aims to encourage and train enthusiasts in the world of flat track racing.
Additionally, the event was hot-and-happening with other experiences including dirt race, slow race, stunt show, among others. Oh and music enthusiasts got to immerse in the melody of Lucky Ali’s music too. DJ Nikhil Chinappa also enthralled audiences with his live set.
