The updated scooter has been teased on TVS’ website
- TVS is unlikely to alter the design of the Scooty Zest.
- The inclusion of fuel injection and a larger cat-con could affect its performance.
- Expect a price hike of around Rs 7,000 to Rs 8,000.
TVS’ Scooty Zest 110 is the only scooter from the Hosur-based manufacturer’s portfolio that is yet to comply with BS6 emission norms. However, that’s set to change soon as TVS has teased the Scooty Zest 110 BS6 on its website. The updated scooter is likely to get a price hike of around Rs 7,000 to Rs 8,000 over the current model that costs Rs 52,525 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Scooty Zest’s 109cc engine is likely to feature fuel injection and a larger cat-con in a bid to comply with BS6 emission norms. These changes could affect the performance of the updated scooter a bit. For reference, the current BS4 model puts out 7.99PS at 7500rpm and 8.4Nm at 5500rpm.
The Scooty Zest’s underpinnings will remain unchanged. That said, the added equipment may result in the scooter gaining a couple of kilos. On the feature front, the scooter is likely to carry over the same equipment list as before: an LED DRL on the front apron, LED tail lamp, a USB charging port and dual-tone seat cover. TVS offers the Scooty Zest 110 in two variants: Himalayan Highs and Matte series. It competes against the Hero Pleasure Plus.
