TVS Motor India is working hard for a better future in the two-wheeler industry of the country. At the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, the manufacturer displayed a bunch of exciting two-wheelers that will soon be a part of its line-up. Among those machines, TVS Star City Plus was expected to launch much sooner. However, recently in Chennai, a TVS commuter was spotted that resembled the new model of Star City Plus. The only difference between the bikes is of the mufflers; the spotted one has a chrome platted muffler while the other one has a black muffler.
However, similar features between the two comprise of handlebars, front profile and smart side panels, which are designed on the lines of TVS Phoenix. The engine part of the bike looks a bit distorted as the wiring is not done neatly. Also, the expected engine to power the motorcycle is a 110cc Ecothrust DLI engine that is designed to deliver unmatched performance, as announced in the mega event. The engine is configured to churn out maximum power of 8.1bhp & peak torque of 8.1Nm and is mated with the 4-speed constant mesh. Best-in-class mileage delivery is expected from the new engine.
Features that could be a part of this machine that were present in the showcased model are digital speedometer, high intensity head lamp, better control switches, comfort seat and stylish aluminum grab rail. The encounter with the test module of TVS Star City Plus is also an indication to the fact that the bike will not take a long time to see the daylight.
