TVS Teases New Scooty Zest 110

TVS Motors has teased a new version of its popular scooter, the Scooty Zest 110. Going by the teaser image, TVS has retained the boomerang-shaped rear indicators and the rear tail light is also likely to be LED, just like the current generation Scooty Zest. The Scooty Zest 110 was recently updated with BS-IV compliance and DRLs. The scooter in the teaser image is likely to be a special edition of the existing Zest and it is speculated that the new scooter will get new features and additional colours. The Scooty Zest 110 was first launched in 2014. The combination of trendy design and light kerb weight (98.5kg) made the scooter a hit with the youth, particularly women riders. The current generation Zest comes with a 109.7cc CVTi air-cooled engine which puts out 8PS of power at 7500rpm and 8.7Nm of torque at 5500rpm. The scooter is equipped with telescopic suspension at the front while the rear uses a hydraulic monoshock. Braking duties are taken care of by a 110mm drum at the front and 130mm drum at the rear.

With a 19-litre under-seat storage and a claimed mileage of 62kmpl, the scooter seems to be quite practical for everyday runs. The practicality is further enhanced by the inclusion of an under-seat USB charging port as standard, apron and under-seat hook, and front glove box. The Scooty Zest is priced at Rs 46,538 ex-showroom, Delhi. Expect the new scooter to command a slight premium over the standard variant. Stay tuned for more updates.
