Seeing the growth of e-commerce industry, TVS Motors has tied up with Snapdeal to lure prospective customers. As per the Business standard report, Snapdeal will sell TVS two-wheelers through a dedicated page for cars and bikes called Snapdeal Motors. Other manufacturers like Hero Motocorp, Suzuki Motorcycles and Mahindra Two-wheelers have already entered into the partnership with e-commerce giant to sell their products online. On the same line, Bajaj Auto and its associates KTM and Kawasaki are selling their vehicles via Flipkart in Bengaluru region.
Reportedly, the Indian customers are becoming tech savvy and have started looking at the vehicles online. E-commerce companies understood the fact and brought this into the market. Purchasing the vehicles online involves booking the vehicle and loan approval. Once, the vehicle is booked and the loan is approved, the file will be then handed-over to the nearest authorized dealer which further processes the application.
As internet penetration in India is growing rapidly, the online marketplace for automobile looks promising. This has been proven by the success of Hero Motocorp which has successfully sold over 4,00,000 units through Snapdeal within first 11 months. Besides, Suzuki Motorcycles and Scooters India Ltd. has clocked 6,000 units since November 2015.
TVS has kickstarted the year 2016 with the launch of Apache 200 4V, which has garnered the positive remarks from the industry experts. Though, the company has been quite late in the segment but finally brought something that can cater the market needs. TVS has also been appreciated for the products which were displayed at its pavilion during the Auto Expo 2016. Along with Apache RTR 200, the company also showcased the fully-faired version of BMW G310 R, X21 concept and its 125cc international scooter, the Dazz.
