TVS Wego launched in Pune

India's third largest two-wheeler manufacturer, TVS Motor India has launched its gearless scooter with new metal boady 'TVS Wego' in Pune today. It is powered by noise-free, all aluminium, low friction engine which has been developed by empowering cutting edge technology," Company official, Srinivasan told reporters. It was presented by a local TVS dealader A K Gandhi here. TVS Wego was already displayed at Delhi Auto Expo 2010. But now it is commerically launched by TVS Motor. TVS Wego is equipped with a 110cc engine that delivers a maximum power of 8 BHP at 7,500 rpm and maximum torque of 8 Nm at 5500 rpm. One of the advanced features which is really helpful for the customers, the company has loaded a cell-phone chargers under the seat. Other features include an external fuel fill with hinged cap and some advanced features, which are normally found only in Motorcycles. TVS Wego has industry first 12-inch alloy wheels, telescopic front suspension and gas filled rear shock absorbers, Srinivasan added. On the other hand, Ymahah Motor is planning to launch two new upcoming bikes Yamaha SZ, Yamaha YBR R125.
