Union Ministers Anant Geete and Nitin Gadkari throw open 2016 Auto Expo

Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Anant Geete and the Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the 13th edition of Auto Expo at the India Expo Mart Limited. The event took place in the presence of Shri Yong Geun Kim, President, OICA, Shri Vinod Dasari, President, SIAM, Shri Chandrajit Banerjee, Director, CII, Shri Sumit Mazumder, President, CII, Shri Vishnu Mathur, Director, General, SIAM and Shri Rama Raman, CEO, Noida and Greater Noida Authority.
While inaugurating the event, Shri Anant Geete, Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, said that the Government is and has always been pro-industry. He said that the "Make in India" campaign has been a huge success and has increased the possibilities for the industry in the country. He said that India is worth investing in and assured that the investments are eventually going to pay off for the investors. He further said that the growth of the show signifies the growth of the industry.
Shri Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highway, said that the government wants the industry to adopt innovative measures so that the progress can be ramped up. He said that the industry has grown in leaps and bounds and would be doing well in the future as well with the cooperation from the government.
The show would be open for public from tomorrow, February 5th, 2016 until 09th February 2016. The show timings will be 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The show is scheduled to witness 92 launches and unveilings which would include more than 20 global unveilings.
As per the reports, the latest edition of the Auto Expo is expected to be bigger, better and more exciting than its previous editions.
