Hero MotoCorp’s dealerships across India have unofficially started accepting bookings for the much-anticipated XPulse 200 and XPulse 200T. Customers can book either of the two bikes for a token amount of Rs 5,000. Deliveries are expected to commence by the first or second week of May 2019, depending on the city. The homegrown bikemaker will officially launch the XPulse 200 and XPulse 200T on May 1. We will be bringing you our first ride impressions about the entry-level adventure bikes pretty soon, so stay tuned to BikeDekho for more.

To summarise, the XPulse 200 is an off-road biased adventure tourer while the XPulse 200T is the road-biased version. The former gets long travel suspension, a raised front beak, handguard, sump guard and a high mounted exhaust. The XPulse 200 also features 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels wrapped in knobby Ceat Gripp tyres as opposed to the 17-inch alloy wheels on the XPulse 200T. Single-channel ABS is offered as standard on both bikes.

Powering the bikes is the same 200cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor seen on the Xtreme 200R. It makes 18.7PS of power and 17.1Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed gearbox. That said, the XPulse 200 comes with fuel-injection while the 200T features a carb. Interestingly though, both bikes make the same power and torque output. In terms of features, both variants get a Bluetooth enabled full-digital instrument console, LED lights at both ends and a top rack.

Last but not the least, the pricing. We expect the Hero XPulse 200 and XPulse 200T to be priced around Rs 1.1 lakh to Rs 1.2 lakh (ex-showroom). Though neither of them have any direct competition, the XPulse 200 will take on the Royal Enfield Himalayan as the most affordable adventure tourer in the country.
