Upcoming Aprilia RS 440 Spotted Testing Abroad

The Moto Guzzi V100 Stelvio adventure bike was also spotted alongside the Aprilia

The launch of the Aprilia RS 440 seems to be right on track as it has been spied abroad while testing. This is the second time in as many days that the upcoming motorcycle has been spotted, as it was snapped on Indian roads while testing. 

The details we can spot on these recent images are the same as the ones we saw on Indian roads. As such, it has a twin-spar frame with a sporty riding stance and rear set footpegs, aluminium swingarm, underbelly exhaust, front and rear disc brakes with a radial caliper at the front and upside-down (USD) fork. But the colour of the engine casing and the swingarm are different from the ones we saw on Indian roads. Also, the overall design of the bike is more clearly visible in these pictures. The sculpted tank and sharp design lines on the front fairing appear to tie up the whole design very well, making it look closer to a miniaturised Aprilia RS660. 

Also spotted testing along with the Aprilia RS 440 is the upcoming Moto Guzzi V100 Stelvio. The Stelvio will be powered by the same 1,042cc, liquid-cooled engine (115PS and 104Nm) as the V100 Mandello (a uniquely designed sports tourer, sold abroad) with a different set of tuning to suit its adventure-touring needs. The headlight design looks similar to that of the V100 Mandello and the windscreen appears to be bigger too. But, alas, we can only look at the pictures as the V100 Stelvio will not be coming to India. 

But, the Aprilia RS 440 IS coming to India and is expected to be launched around April 2024 with a price tag of about Rs 4 lakh (ex-showroom). Its rivals will be the KTM RC 390 and the Kawasaki Ninja 400.
