The new 4-valve head could help take the fight to the Apache RTR 200 4V
Another image of the updated Hero XPulse 200T 4V has surfaced, offering a better view of the new motorcycle. This city dwelling sibling of the XPulse 200 4V adventure bike is all set to get a fresh round of updates, including a 4-valve head like its off-road twin.
First look of the motorcycle came last month at a commercial shoot where it was seen donning a retro-modern demeanor with a scrambler-style short fly-screen and fork gators. The new image, however, offers a closer look, one that confirms the new XPulse 200T will in fact get the same 4-valve head as on the XPulse 200 4V. Needless to say, it also features the 25 percent larger oil-cooler and offers the same 19.1PS and 17.35Nm as well.
Other than that, underpinnings and cycle parts appear to be relatively unchanged. Ergonomically, Hero appears to have revised the seat liner and possibly even the padding underneath. Aesthetically, however, it gets new youthful and funky colours, a new rear grab rail which looks more commuter-esque than sporty and bigger bash plate underneath that protects the new exhaust routing better.

The XPulse 200 4V saw a marked improvement in performance over its 2-valve iteration. The new cylinder head, oil-cooler and gear ratios made the ADV a peach on the road as much as off it. Hence, these updates should dial up the road-going siblings’ fun factor considerably.
We can expect Hero to launch the new XPulse 200T 4V very soon. With these updates, expect a premium of around Rs 6,000-7,000 over the outgoing model that’s priced at Rs 1,24,278 (ex-showroom Delhi).
