New details about the wheel sizes of the Hunter 450 have been uncovered in this round of spy shots
One of the motorcycles that Royal Enfield is expected to launch this year is the Hunter 450. It seems to be nearing the end of its development process and has now been spotted testing for the second time within a month.
This time around, it is clearly visible that the upcoming Hunter 450 gets 17-inch wheels at both ends with block-pattern tyres. As spotted earlier, the alloy wheel design is similar to that of the Shotgun 650. The round headlight and tank design is very similar to that of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. The rear-end with the integrated LED taillight and indicators and the exhaust is taken from the Himalayan 450. It gets a telescopic fork and monoshock suspension setup. The raised handlebar and the mid-set footpeg should translate towards an upright riding position.
As the upcoming Hunter 450 is based on the all-new Himalayan 450, it will be powered by the same 450cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, Sherpa engine that produces 40.02PS and 40Nm in the ADV. We expect the engine to be tuned differently to better suit the Hunter’s character.
The Hunter 450 is expected to get a price tag of Rs 2.6 lakh (ex-showroom) and will likely be launched by the end of 2024. It will rival the likes of the Triumph Speed 400, Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, Hero Mavrick 440, Harley-Davidson X440 and QJ Motor SRC 500.
