The year seems to be coming to an end, but we expect just a few more big launches, with national as well as international bike shows slated for November. Here’s our list of possible entrants:
Ultraviolette F77
Estimated price - Rs 3.5 lakh (ex-showroom, including subsidy)
We’ve been waiting impatiently for India’s first ‘proper’ electric sport bike since its unveil in November 2019, and we now know it’ll be launched on November 24! That said, there are quite a few changes between what we saw three years back and the one which will be launched soon.
For instance, the production version of the Ultraviolette F77 will sport the largest battery (10.5kWh!) of any electric two-wheeler in India. Moreover, the F77 will be available in three variants, tentatively named Airstrike, Shadow and Laser. And since good things in life are rarely cheap, we expect the F77 to retail for no less than Rs 3.5 lakh onwards.
Hero Maestro Xoom 110
Estimated price - Rs 75,000 (ex-showroom)
Hero is all set to launch a sporty offering in the 110cc scooter space. From what we can see in the spy shots, the Maestro Xoom 110 will sport all-new design elements like apron-mounted headlight and front indicators, with the rear indicators mounted on stalks, bike style. Its digital console will also sport a new layout. And most importantly, the engine will be retuned for better performance.
We expect the Hero Maestro Xoom 110 to undercut the Honda Dio, its chief rival, in terms of price.
Hero XPulse 200T 4V
Estimated price - Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom)
Along with the sporty scooter, Hero may also launch its road-biased version of the XPulse 200 4V off-roader this month. The Xpulse 200T 4V, courtesy its on-road preference, gets 17-inch wheels front and rear. Moreover, it’ll sport the same single-tone colour scheme as its predecessor, along with the retro-looking headlight cowl and rubber fork gaiters. We expect the Xpulse 200T 4V to retail at a premium of about Rs 6,000 to Rs 7,000 over its 2-valve iteration.

Here Are The Upcoming Ola Electric Bikes/Scooters
Ducati Desert X
Estimated price - Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom)
After going gaga over the retro-styled Ducati ADV at the 2019 EICMA, Ducati lovers can finally breathe a sigh of relief, as the Desert X will finally make an entry into our markets this month!
The Desert X’ resemblance with old-school Dakar bikes isn’t a coincidence; it’ll sport ‘proper’ off-road cred, including a 21-18 tyre setup with tubeless spoke wheels, and will even offer an optional 8-litre accessory fuel tank mounted under the pillion seat.
The Desert X will sport the same 937cc liquid-cooled V-twin seen on the Multistrada V2, Hypermotard 950 and Monster, though it’s been retuned to make 110PS and 92Nm. We reckon the Desert X will sport a sticker of around Rs 16 lakh, about the same as the Multistrada V2.
2023 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V
Estimated price - Rs 1.20 to Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom)
Regular readers of Bikedekho may remember our scoop on the test mule of the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V which we spied testing a few months ago with a redesigned intake and exhaust end can.
And considering the Apache RTR 160 4V was updated last year around this time too, we think TVS may repeat the feat. Now, the 2023 model may not get a performance boost – considering it’s already the segment-leader – but rather a better response in the low-to-mid range. Moreover, we expect only a slight price hike, with the new 160 retailing between Rs 1.20 lakh to Rs 1.30 lakh.
Before we leave…
…there are a few more bikes which may make an appearance soon.
The first among them is the duo of the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650. Both these have been spotted testing quite a few times in the past months, and in the case of the former, for quite a few years!
Both bikes will run the same 648cc air-/oil-cooled parallel-twin from the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. Besides, though both bikes will share the cruiser aesthetic, the Shotgun will not get a flyscreen (like the Super Meteor) and will also boast more upright ergos.
While the Shotgun may be priced at Rs 3.25 lakh, the Super Meteor will retail at Rs 3.5 lakh, making it the costliest Royal Enfield bike till date. We expect Royal Enfield to showcase both bikes at the 2022 EICMA show in Milan (November 8 to 13), and even treat us to a possible launch at Royal Enfield Rider Mania 2022 (November 18 to 20).
Next, Taiwanese brand Gogoro has spoken about some big announcements coming up on November 3. Now, though we believe it may be something to do with its battery-swapping tech and infrastructure, there’s also a chance it might announce a launch date for its first electric scooter, the S1. Yes, we realise the name is taken, and Gogoro will no doubt change the moniker on the final product.
Nevertheless, though we can’t yet speculate about the upcoming Gogoro electric scooter’s specifications, we’d imagine it’ll be a suitably sporty offering, which may retail at around Rs 1.5 lakh.
And finally, we have word that Honda is mulling a bare-bones 100cc commuter to rival the Hero Splendor. Now, we know next to nothing about its specs and features, though we guess this new Honda 100cc commuter may undercut existing 110cc Honda offerings – the CD110 Dream and Livo – in terms of price.
